Countries across the globe are requiring companies to ensure that they not only comply with the laws in the jurisdictions where they are located but implement a system of vigilance to identify risks and prevent serious violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms as well as ensure safety and protect the environment in connection with activities of those companies and their subsidiaries and their suppliers and subcontractors. This session will discuss how these laws have been implemented so far in places like France, the implementation of these types of programs as well as the response by some jurisdictions to the implementation of these regimes.
