UIAcademy

El proyecto «UIAcademy», lanzado en mayo de 2024, tiene como objetivo de proporcionar a los miembros de la UIA, un catálogo de formaciones prácticas de corta duración que les proporcionarán habilidades y técnicas prácticas, listas de comprobación a efectuar, guías de buenas prácticas, recomendaciones, competencias relacionales, etc. sobre qué hacer y a qué prestar atención en áreas clave específicas de interés para todos nosotros, como profesionales del Derecho.

Los cursos de la UIAcademy serán virtuales - 1 hora y media incluyendo preguntas y respuestas, a través de una plataforma especial proporcionada por LexisNexis, el patrocinador institucional de la UIA.
Las formaciones se ofrecerán gratuitamente sólo a los miembros. 
Las formaciones tienen lugar el tercer miércoles de cada mes, en uno de los tres idiomas de comunicación de la UIA.

Dealing with the defense of international family law cases presents several challenges. Not only in terms of knowledge of international law, but also in the way of ascertaining the client's needs and strategic definitions. To understand these challenges, we will listen to 5 experts in international family law, who will give us some tools acquired through much study and years of experience.

The training session will cover the following points:

  • How do you deal with a case where the parents and/or the estate are in different jurisdictions?
  • What is the most difficult part of enforcing foreign divorce orders?
  • What does the international client need: legal assistance or counseling?
  • What is the most complicated thing when dealing with an international client?
  • Why do you ask at the first meeting where the passports are?
  • Prenups, yes or not?
  • Questions that the international client does not know how to answer in the first meeting?
  • Free will, yes or not?
