ANIMAL RIGHTS/HUMAN RIGHTS

  • 19/07/2024 - 15:30 - 16:30

Presentación

Do animals have rights? Do they have a right not to suffer for human purposes? It is a fitting question that this seminar covers. Animal abuse does not occur in isolation. Whether institutional, negligent, or deliberate, animal cruelty is a human problem in which humans are also victims. This session brings together international lawyers in animal, criminal, and human rights law to discuss the complex legal, ethical, and social issues involved in cruelty.
