Foreign Investment and Cross-Border Labour Law
When doing business abroad, labour law is of utmost relevance. Either when entering a new jurisdiction, by means of M&A or greenfield investment, or managing an ongoing foreign activity (a subsidiary or even a distribution or agency relationship) a local attorney is always necessary when national labour law comes into play. In our session we will be listening to lawyers who come from different jurisdictions on 4 continents, who will be giving important pieces of advice about how to deal with the most sensitive issues related to:
i. Labour liabilities and obstacles in acquisitions;
ii. Local differences in the enforcement of claims under labour law;
iii. Managing incoming and outgoing expatriates;
iv. Cross-Border Labour aspects related to Distribution and Agency agreements.
