During this Capsule, we will discuss the most appropriate ways to strengthen women's rights in the face of the constant and continuous violence affecting them, which needs to be urgently addressed through a holistic approach promoting general awareness and increased understanding about this subject as well as the implementation of new concepts to effectively channel the struggle against such violence.
In this perspective, the programme of the webinar moderated by Elisabeth Zakharia Sioufi, President of UIA's Women's Committee, will focus on the following aspects:
• Presentation of the White Paper entitled "Women in the world - Specific violence, specific rights?" prepared and published by UIA's Women's Committee in partnership with LexisNexis.
• The role and status of women lawyers in the Mexican Bar Association.
• The concept of Positive Masculinity.
• General Debate.
