The ABC to Building a Smart Belt and Road

This follows the Belt and Road Law Conference held by The Law Society of Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Conference Centre on 28 September 2018 under the same title. The development and application of emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Cloud, has quietly permeated our daily lives and are meant to make our lives more efficient and convenient. However, it will also bring along liabilities and complicated legal issues. This session will feature the development and application of emerging technologies in legal sector and its impact on multijurisdictional transactions brought by the Belt and Road Initiative. Speakers will share invaluable experiences and insights on how technologies can enhance the harmonisation of standards as well as providing an opportunity for exchange of knowledge and synchronisation of international laws, cyberlaw in particular. It will also be an opportunity to tackle a code of conduct on AI development discussed at the Law Conference
