The European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice adopted at the end of 2018 the European Code of Conduct for “Mediation Providers” as part of the Mediation Development Toolkit. Who are these Mediation Providers, these sort of initial contact points for mediation? What functions can they fulfil in practice and thus support mediators and mediation in a pre-mediation context and in accompanying the mediation process further on?
