ESG Obligations and Human Rights / Human Rights Fieldwork
We will discuss how the interaction between Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria and human rights impacts the social dimension, corporate governance, environmental impact and responsibility in the supply chain. Corporate information and transparency, together with legal compliance, are key aspects.
Integrating human rights into ESG practices demonstrates a commitment to ethical and sustainable business conduct that is recognised by investors and consumers.
Some aspects to be discussed include the following: the Social Dimension of ESG, Governance and Human Rights, Environmental Impact and Human Rights, Responsibility in the Supply Chain, Respect for the rights of local communities in ESG practices, Reporting and Transparency, Regulatory and Legal Frameworks.
Later we will talk about the field experiences of international observers in relation to human rights: inhumane prison treatments in Moldova and the pernicious effects of guerrilla movements in Colombia.
