68th Congress; from October 30 to November 03, 2024; The European Commission's anti-subsidy investigation: Imports of BEVs from China
Hot Topics in EU and Competition Law
The session will be a lively and enriching debate around three particularly hot topics in EU and Competition Law. First, distinguished speakers from the Competition Commission will be joined by in-house counsel and academia as well as a Member of the European Parliament to discuss 'New Age Antitrust' - the (potential) impact of AI in antitrust and whether there shall be ex-ante control of certain AI market operators. The debate will be a focused continuation of the main theme of AI regulation. After a break, the session will explore to what extent often observed no-poach agreements are compatible with modern antitrust enforcement. Finally, the current European Commission's anti-subsidy investigation into Chinese EVs will be looked at.
