Lawyers Concerned about the ICC Registry Re Vision Project

On November 17, 2014, the UIA sent letter to the Registrar expressing grave concern from lawyers about the Registry Re Vision Project (in French).

In the project the Office of Public Counsel for the Defense (OPCD) will be suppressed and replaced by a new body (merging the OPCD and the Counsel Support Section) which would not be independent from the Registry. 

The UIA calls for a comprehensive consultation process with the Registry on these issues.
