6th World Congress against the Death Penalty - June 21 to 23, 2016 - Oslo, Norway

The 6th World Congress against the Death Penalty will take place at the Opera House of Oslo (Norway) from June 21 to 23, 2016.

Organized by Ensemble contre la peine de mort, under the sponsorship of Norway, France and Australia and in partnership with the World Coalition against the Death Penalty, this international event gathers thousands of members from civil society, political representatives, lawyers, and experts from across the world with the aim of developing new strategies towards universal abolition.

Issues such as death penalty and terrorism, and protecting migrants, minorities and individuals with mental disorders from the death penalty will be addressed A workshop - open to lawyers only - on effective legal representation for persons facing the death penalty is also proposed (please see the  flyer below).
