Challenges facing U.S. Food companies
Covid-19 and Food Product Distribution: Problems and Solutions
The health crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has also had major consequences in the food safety and food product distribution sectors.
Determining whether food from at-risk areas can circulate freely and the precautions to be taken are two of the most common issues.
This has sometimes led to delays in delivering products and/or orders being cancelled. Difficulties in clearing customs and logistics problems have also contributed to these delays.
The session aims to address the topic by examining food safety in various jurisdictions, as well as risk management for food products and the contractual provisions that are applicable in the event of non-performance due to force majeure.
The topic will also be approached through a case study, which will be presented and moderated by representatives of companies that have faced challenges in this area.
